Neonatal and Pediatric ICUs

In 2011, through the generosity of Drs. Mary and Richard Scott, Drs. Judith Waligunda and Frederick Basilico, and Gerald and Maureen Sheehan, HealthCare Nepal helped establish Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Kathmandu, "for the care of today's children and the training of tomorrow's pediatricians.” These are the only public-hospital neonatal and pediatric ICUs in the country and serve over 500 infants and children each year from across Nepal.
